Families and youth

Families are moving to Valemount and choosing to have children here. Our schools are thriving and our village is alive with the hustle and bustle of children.  Let's ensure families are finding the services they need.

 I would like the next council to work with the Valemount Children's Activity Center and the Canoe Valley Community Association and other groups to ensure youth and families are thriving here.

Next time you at Centennial Park take a look around at the facilities there and ask yourself this: "Is this a community that values families?"
 
The park is in good trim, but we need to reinvest in our safe playground equipment. 

We can't and shouldn't try to provide all the amenities provided by big cities on our own. But we can work with families to make Valemount a great place to live.

With any luck families will stay, prosper and help build our community.
