We need to be helping existing agencies do more for our seniors. Helping seniors stay here longer should be a major priority. They are the heart and soul of our community. We should not be shipping seniors off to other communities when we can still take care of them here.
Council has a role to play in advocating for seniors even though council doesn't directly deliver services.
One way that council can help senior citizens stay in their homes longer is working harder to keep taxes and utilities low.
Helping seniors stay here longer is a great way to create jobs for younger generations.
There is a long waiting list for existing seniors homes. It's time to help get the next seniors housing project started.
